Primary Therapist - North Campus

“Austin is a steady leader and strong influence with staff and students” – Previous Supervisor

Austin has built his clinical foundation through a variety of roles at Telos, developing a deep and enduring commitment to relational, strengths-based care. His decision to pursue a master’s degree was driven by a clear conviction in the Telos model: that lasting change is built through meaningful relationships paired with clinically effective, evidence-based intervention.

Through extensive work with adolescents and young adults in residential treatment settings, Austin has developed specialized expertise in helping youth navigate a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. His areas of focus include autism spectrum differences, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, executive functioning difficulties, and learning-related challenges. He is particularly passionate about helping young people recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and build the skills necessary for long-term success and independence.

Austin has advanced training in supporting individuals with executive functioning challenges and slower processing speeds. He works closely with students who struggle with organization, planning, attention, emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, and information processing. His experience with neurodiverse youth allows him to tailor interventions to each student’s unique learning style and developmental needs while helping them build practical skills and greater self-confidence.

His approach is both structured and deeply human. Austin integrates skills-based therapeutic strategies with a consistent focus on each individual’s inherent strengths, helping clients build practical tools while also fostering confidence, connection, and personal ownership of their growth. He understands that real change happens not just through technique, but through relationships—and he leverages both to help clients move forward in meaningful, lasting ways.

Known for his ability to connect authentically with young people, Austin creates an environment where students feel understood, supported, and challenged to grow. Whether helping a student navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use concerns, autism spectrum-related challenges, or executive functioning difficulties, he remains focused on building resilience, increasing self-awareness, and helping each individual move toward a more fulfilling and successful future.

His broad experience across the treatment continuum, combined with his relational style and commitment to evidence-based care, make him a trusted and effective therapist for youth and families seeking meaningful and lasting change.
