Skyler is a dedicated and compassionate therapist at the South Campus, bringing over 15 years of experience in the residential treatment industry along with a strong academic foundation and specialized clinical expertise to his work with clients and families. He earned his Master’s in Social Work from Utah Valley University and his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Southern Utah University. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), Skyler is committed to helping individuals navigate challenges, build resilience, and create lasting change in their lives.
Skyler specializes in working with adolescents and young adults, helping them navigate the unique developmental, emotional, and behavioral challenges that often arise during these formative years. He has extensive experience supporting youth with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use concerns, and neurodevelopmental differences, including those on the autism spectrum. He has received advanced training in executive functioning and cognitive processing challenges, allowing him to effectively support individuals with slower processing speeds, organizational difficulties, attention challenges, and other executive function deficits. His approach focuses on building practical skills, increasing self-awareness, and helping young people achieve greater independence, confidence, and success in their daily lives.
Known for his grounded and approachable style, Skyler values authentic connection and believes growth happens through trust, accountability, and meaningful support. His extensive experience in residential treatment has given him a deep understanding of the complexities individuals and families face, allowing him to provide compassionate, effective care tailored to each client’s unique journey. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys wrestling, backpacking, fishing, archery hunting, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family. His passion for the outdoors and personal connection carries into his therapeutic approach, helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout their healing process.
